We've booked a table for an adequate sufficiency at The Penderel's Oak, Holborn commencing 12 noon onwards on Saturday 8th December. Food is available as well as drink. We've sadly not managed to sort out any activity this year (due to a lot of the Admin and Mod staff being otherwise occupied) so apologies for that but it'll still be good to see everybody again! I wouldn't be able to go as I'm up to my eyeballs here with college, work and driving lessons as well as studying for law exams and rewriting my PhD proposal, plus I might be needed to scribe for someone in exams. Hopefully some day I'll make it to London for it.

I intend to be there, though I have a slight detour to make to Bushey Heath first. My walking club has decided to try and get someone to the highest point of every historic county over the course of the year. While this includes significant peaks such as Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike, it also includes the road outside the Harvester pub on High Road, which is the highest point in what was Middlesex at 153m or maybe 155m on the top deck of the 142 bus.

I made it onto my intended train with seconds to spare after discovering that my Network Railcard expired last night. Thankfully there was no queue, but I was nearly foiled by a pair of tourists dragging massive suitcases and managing to take up the entire width of the station footbridge.
