I am always wary of anything reported on 1 April but it seems TFL are entering a partnership with building & management group Grainger to create new housing in the vicinity of several TFL rail sites and a few stations at the Northern end of the Piccadilly line. However it seems Grainger had been shortlisted by TFL last year so I assume this is not a spoof. More details linked below: (If there is an existing thread on this project, then perhaps the Mods can merge this post) linkThis far out I suspect these "ideas" will attract a fair bit of local opposition, but it seems that eventually many of these locations will become new housing which may add useful additional passenger revenue to TFL in years to come. I guess the rather dire financial straights of TfL, have been a catalyst in this decision. Hopefully someone has already checked that none of the proposed construction sites (which include some former siding sites) really are no longer needed to run the railways or indeed provide occasional access to maintain them going forward.

Uh oh tfl and homes. Does that mean you are told to mind the step before walking in to your house, and reminded to keep all your belongings with you a hundred times before you enter the bathroom?
