My first post, sorry it's a question and hopefully I've posted in the correct area! On my trips to London I usually make time to search out the battery locos. I've passed Ruislip depot many times but I've still not seen the Schoma/Clayton rebuilt locos 2, 6 and 10. On a recent visit to Clayton Equipment in Burton, Highgate depot was mentioned and a look on Google Earth clearly shows four locos here. However when I viewed Highgate depot on Saturday 14 March there was no sign of them. I also travelled past Ruislip depot on the same day but unfortunately stabled stock blocked my view of the locos here. Can anyone please advise where these locos have moved to so that on my next visit (although this may be a few months away!) I might finally catch up with them. Thanks all, Gary. Thread title changed for clarity. MoreToJack

All are stored out the back of 44-46rd, maybe some of 39rd. All have never been used and haven't turned a wheel since delivery. Big waste of money.

Unneeded, don't work, or some other reason for not being used?

Thanks lul for the reply. I'm not that familiar with the layout of Ruislip depot. Are roads 44-46 the ones that are nearest to the Ruislip Gardens to West Ruislip line and are therefore easily visible from on a passing train? If so then I've often seen the six stored locos here (numbers 4,7,8,11,13 & 14). It's 2, 6 & 10 that were at Highgate that I'm trying to find.

grid56068 , Unfortunately for you its smack bang in the middle of the complex so is almost completely obscured from view by the assortment of vehicles and rolling stock being moved around.

Carto Metro shows the numbers of the roads in Ruislip depot. 44-46 are near the middle

Thanks to all who have replied, very much appreciated. Looks like further visits to Ruislip depot will be required once we get back to some sort of normality. Any further sightings or information will be gratefully received.
