I guess they were replaced during the upgrade work? Hi what was the upgrade when came to Northfields from Shoeburyness Westinghouse 3HC43 compressors. all ready fitted just needed overhauling From memory when the 72Mk1s were selected for conversion with the Victoria Line 67's the early built MK1's were built with TBC38Z compressors, but the later units were built with 3HC43 compressors, as only 2 units on the Vic Line had the 3HC43 compressors, these were converted to TBC38Z on Refurb. So Fish7373 is correct that the AIT unit 3213 did have 3HC43 from new

Thanks. Didn’t the Mark 1s on the Bakerloo have to have the Reavell compressors replaced with 3HC43s on life extension works?
Thought the Mark 1s all had TBCs. Mind you the C69 stock had a mix too!

Same example as some early 72mk1's that went to the Bakerloo Line, did have the older type compressors, but think it was not all units. As some units were retained for future purposes once scrapping was taking place the stock was allocated against compressor types where possible, hence some were stored for Victoria Line and others for works trains and Bakerloo line.

Let's keep this on topic - compressors belong in their own thread!
