Which platform did it go into?
Platform 1 (next to the District line platform) or platform 7/8?

Platform 1 : They are then split. I'm sure Pl.1 could just about accomodate 10 car trains given the distance to the Starter signal. We see them under our windows in the LU Cabin, adjacent.

According to the Sectional Appendix, Platform 1 at Barking is 183m long, so should comfortably hold an 8-car Cl.710 (approx 165m).

We use platform 1 for all of our uncoupling... Can trains be coupled in platform 1 ? Not that I'm aware of. The 2 jobs we have in the evening couple up at Upper Holloway.
