Training District drivers on the route would be a simple (although not necessarily quick or cheap) thing to do if it was seen as desirable to stable that line's trains there regularly. The other factors though rather suggest that these sidings won't be compensating for Lille Bridge.

Have there been and will there be any tours of the depot for the public before its demolished?

I wonder if the LT Museum could do a Hidden London tour of the 150 years of history, back to the steam days of the District Line and also the opening of the Picc Line.

S stock is not allowed on that route at present. South Harrow sidings will be needed along with the new Picc depots to accommodate the full fleet of new trains for 36tph once new signalling is installed on the line. The current fleet order is only for 30tph, which will still need new signalling to achieve. District crews are not trained on the route, but could perhaps have a Picc line pilot if S stock was ever passed for that route. After thought, the new sidings have boarding platforms which might foul the surface stock gauge. May I refer you to a pot on here many years ago from contributor 'PiccadillyPilot" who wrote an amusing article about a district train taking a wrong 'un at Hangar Lane. I think the original was lost when the site was "modernised" a few years ago.

There’s this story on Tubeprune’s site of a Piccadilly train taking the wrong stick at Hanger Lane Junction. The passengers were duly sent back to get the next Piccadilly train, which did exactly the same thing!
