With current possible cut backs the 1959/62 stock RATs may need to operate for even longer! I assume that you mean 'many more years to come' I think this will please many people - maybe even give people time to sort of a financial package to ensure that when the time comes a 4 car unit (minimum) is preserved for future generations. |

A 4-car unit is preserved by Cravens Heritage Trains, stored at Hainault. So far, no doubt for very good reasons including other commitments, they’ve been unable to complete restoration or put it on display but let’s hope they do some day.
