Dstock7080 originally posted this in the thread "new WTT18 16th May 2022" What are the options for a timetable planner for changing the times of a train within a depot, without changing the timings of a train whilst out on the operational railway?

That was my understanding as well, hence why I'm seeking clarification about what this statement means.

There is only one access point at each end of Neasden depot shared by Jubilee and Metropolitan trains, keeping them a timetabled distance apart help prevent congestion.

Depot shunts can take place at any time,it’s down to fleet maintenance requirements. When I was in the tower at SMD I used to clear the route to the outlet signal east end about 2 minutes before the booked time.As west end departures required a double shunt I cleared the route about 3 to 4 minutes before the booked time

Thank you, I'm starting to understand now. Presumably this timetable change is to make life a little easier and allow a bit more wriggle room for those in the Neasden tower to resolve any issues which may occur in the depot than at present?

Although they signal both Met & Jubilee trains, the staff in Neasden tower are Met employees.I spent a day at Neasden tower as part of my training & got the impression that the Jubilee was regarded as the junior line. The 96 TS had only been in service for a couple of years & was referred to as Skodas.

Certainly not the case today; Stratford Market tower very much seen as the place to end up for those wanting such a move!
