Seeming as the Elizabeth Line has had it's opening announced, how will the train announcements be changed? Are they controlled from one computer or do they have to be individually changed?

Each LUL fleet affected will have a new message database created for it on a computer. With all current LUL fleets, a technician then needs to visit each train to load the new database. On some fleets this is locally in each unit. On others one location can do the whole train. As I understood it at least until today, the intention is to start fitting the LUL trains only once the Elizabeth line has actually opened.

That explains why some trains can miss an update for whatever reason. On the Central line, I'm pretty sure it's 91227 and possibly another, do not have the Sarah Parnell recorded stations.

Anyone know about Jubilee and Central? Will they have to be updated twice? The second time to add Elizabeth line at Bond St when that opens?

Anyone know about Jubilee and Central? Will they have to be updated twice? The second time to add Elizabeth line at Bond St when that opens? I personally, would load the Elizabeth onto the train, but in the meanwhile make Train Operators just say 'There is no interchange to the Elizabeth Line at the next station'. I say this but every time I pass Bank station not many of them bother to cut out the automatic announcer or bother to make a PA saying the Northern Line is closed! Of course this is only my idea but I assume they'll adopt something like this

Sources tell me that the plan is to update Jubilee and Central trains twice. I'm surprised given the cost, but I suppose at least they are internal costs.

We will soon be hearing the new announcements! God knows what they sound like... The S stock ones were recorded about 5 years ago at the same time as a lot of others, so fit in just fine.
