I thought people would find this interesting. A new linear park is being created in Camden, using former sections of the North London Line. They are proposing to run between Camden Gardens and York Way, utilising the various railway bridges alongside the line. Their section just next to Camden Road station has just been given planning permission, from Camden Gardens to Royal College Street. www.camdenhighline.com/planning-press-releaseI guess this may be somewhat similar to Parkland Walk or the High Line in New York.

I would have been happier seeing more of the route being brought back to railway use, including the other side of the island platform at Camden Road
I suppose though this might offer some new photograph possibilities, although the direction of the sun might not always be optimal

I guess this may be somewhat similar to Parkland Walk or the High Line in New York. Or the previous Garden Bridge in London...

The Highline has been designed such that it doesn't obstruct any potential railway developments in the future, and I believe the terms of Highline's lease are such that NR can take the space over at a future date if required for railway purposes.

Yes to Parkland Walk, and no to Garden Bridge (coz it was never actually built!) I cannot comment on the New York High Line as I've never been to New York, so have not seen it with my own eyes.

Neither this Garden Bridge, nor the previous one has been built.
I'm waiting for the storm of ridicule to start, following the announcement of this latest 'vanity project'. I'm surprised it isn't apparent already.
Perhaps it's not the project itself, but the proposer...
