Hi all
I wondered if anybody could shed light on the work which means a whole weekend, whole line closure of the Met? I am guessing at something signalling related as that’s ongoing, and I couldn’t imagine what other work could be of a scale that blocks all the different branches etc.
I wonder also when the last time a full closure such as this took place - in a planned sense, as I know there have been some staffing-related full line service interruptions relatively recently
Many thanks as always

Another big closure this weekend south of harrow.
Does anyone have details of what frequencies and services are being run on the met? I assume the fast amersham service will run?
Will the piccadilly line frequency be increased between rayners lane and Uxbridge to compensate?

Near normal Piccadilly line service on the Uxbridge branch this easter weekend, with the Metropolitan line still able to provide connections at Rayners Lane: <<Thread name changed to reflect topic discussion - goldenarrow>>

With all this testing of SMA 8 & 9, are they getting closer to commissioning later this year?

There is no plan to commission either SMA8 or 9 this year.

From what I've seen elsewhere it seems that Chiltern Railways are re-allocating trains from the Amersham route to the Marylebone - Birmingham service, as the Avanti service between Euston and Birmingham is being cancelled for four days. I assume its for track works.
Also, it looks like there will be regular service via the North Curve - with through trains between Chesham and Watford.
I wonder how much busier the Piccadilly line service via South Harrow, etc will be, carrying passengers diverted from the Met's route via Wembley Park.

Also, it looks like there will be regular service via the North Curve - with through trains between Chesham and Watford. Chesham services will run direct from Rickmansworth to Moor Park and use the local line to Harrow. Watford trains will operate normally.

Apologies if I misled anyone - I understood the quoted text (above) as meaning something that it didn't!
