Every time a Piccadilly Line train is leaving South Kensington on the way to Cockfosters, the lights in the train go out temporarily between South Kensington and Knightsbridge. What is going on here?

There is a traction current rail gap immediately east of South Kensington (eastbound/westbound), the motor alternators would temporarily stop.

Yes, just one light over each door so very few in a ‘73 Stock.
