Hi, Hope this is the right sort of area to post this message! I've just added a couple of shots to my fotopic site taken at Lillie Bridge depot in June 1969 (still have a couple more to add) and would like to know if I have the captions correct, please. Also, in the general view shot, there is a signalbox visible on the West London Extension line right by Earls Court exhibition centre - does anyone know the name of this 'box? Thanks in anticipation! geoff-plumb.fotopic.net/p36743912.htmlgeoff-plumb.fotopic.net/p36744456.htmlRegards, Geoff

Interesting comparison in here 19692006No sight of Earl's Court II, and the Empress State Buildings hasn't been refurb at that time, and an R-stock

The WLL box is Lillie Bridge (courtesy of a friend who walked the line whilst training).

geoff not to be picky but west ken east junction is still called west ken east junction not the olympia junction Thanks, that's just the sort of feedback I was hoping for - from someone with more knowledge than I have! The only reason I had it as Olympia Junction now is that is what it is called in my Baker atlas! Thanks also for the comparison shots with today - there is actually more of the depot still there than I thought. I assumed that the signalbox on the WLL was Lillie Bridge, so thanks for that confirmation as well. I can now update the caption accordingly, so thanks for all the replies ;D Regards, Geoff

Fantastic photos there Geoff.
The train with the celestory roof would be a Q stock!

Sorry to be pedantic, but I would say that the train in the second of those latest two pictures is actually heading from West Ken to Earl's Court

Sorry to be pedantic, but I would say that the train in the second of those latest two pictures is actually heading from West Ken to Earl's Court Nothing pedantic about it - I too think you're right - it was difficult to remember that far back and I thought the train was on the far track of the two, but it's obviously on the nearer track, so bound for Earls Court! Thanks also for the Q stock note. I'll update the caption accordingly - thanks all! Regards, Geoff
