Part of the Tube line that connected central and south-east London 25 years ago is being celebrated by Transport for London (TfL).
To mark the occasion, TfL has created 25th anniversary posters that will feature along the Jubilee line over the coming weeks.

When the section from North Greenwich to Stratford first opened the Line Control and Signalling was from temporary desks in the Stratford Market Deport control tower as the Neasden Control Centre was not finished.

Six trains running from 07:00 till 19:00.

I remember travelling on that 'pre-opening' service.

I never quite understood the ticket gates at Stratford, especially as anyone who wanted to dodge their fare could switch to the North London line at either West Ham or Canning Town.

NO!! Surely not! I can't believe 25 years have passed by already! No wonder the trains are starting to show their age.
