Seeing the excellent Class 66 photos reminded me of a photo I used in UndergrounD mag of the experiemental EE gas-turbine loco GT3 at Northwood with a rake of Mk1s on a run dwon the then ex-GCR. A heavy beastie! 123.5 tons

This begs the question then as to when were the last loco-hauled BR trains via Amersham? There was a 2xClass20 tour from Marylebone around 1987. Was a ban on passenger locos on the LT rails put in place because of potential damage?
