It is the former back the bid train - though one unit has been removed and attached to a different train. The freshly painted ones certainly stand out when attached to a unit with an older paint job ;D ;D The one car that returned following forensic work is still sheeted up at Acton.

SolidBond pointed out the easiest way is that the ex Back the Bid stock have the larger numbers usually used on the front of the car, on the sides as well (they ran out of smaller numbers at Hammersmith). The ex 7 July trains can be told apart by their new doors and flooring which now longer has the grooves in.
Also the roof is grey, rather than a scummy black

Gents I saw 2-car unit 5555/6555 (formally part of the 6-car Olympic 'back the bid' set) at High Street Kensington this morning connected to older 69/77 cars....... yes it looked less dirty, but already seems to have had something spilt over it (whitish splash mark) on one side Didn't take long eh Regards Christopher

A technical point Chris, how can 5555-6555 be connected to OLDER '77 Stocks??? As I'm sure most of the '77 Stocks were built AFTER the '69s?
