While at Oxford Circus today, waiting for a Bakerloo train, I heard the following announcement (goes something like this) ''Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. This is the Bakerloo Line Control Room. There are minor delays on the Northern and Victoria Lines. Thank you''. Why would the Bakerloo Line Control Room make announcements about other lines? (I'm sure it said it was the control room!!) Also, as an aside, the 72 I was on looked good, with '' 100 years Bakerloo'' stickers under each window. Nice to see a train looking clean for once and not vandilised for once. IMHO, the seats look good now with those red armrests (if you can call them that!)

Are you sure you didn't hear "This is the Control Room at Oxford Circus". The Bakerloo Line Control Room hardly ever do Long-Line PAs as most stations have a Station Control Room, where there is a dedicated Station Assistant or Supervisor to do stuff like PAs.
Its good that a major interchange like Oxford Circus give up-date on other lines, as passengers can then make "informed decisions" on their travel options.

Are you sure you didn't hear "This is the Control Room at Oxford Circus". The Bakerloo Line Control Room hardly ever do Long-Line PAs That's because they're too scared of someone making the wrong sort of PA after an info assistant put out something unrepeatable a few years ago via the Dot Matrix. I have heard them do an LLPA once, but it was to take the pis* out of my colleague and I on Baker St NB platform once while it was closed a few years ago.

Well, it might well have been, I couldn't hear clearly, due to the echo and the approaching train!
