I was wondering if any of the informed sources on here could tell me if the following sets are still in service on the bakerloo.
3239/4239/4339/3339 & 3444/4544/3544
These are the only two I've not scooped in yet. Hence i was wondering if they are OOU or whether its just my bad luck I keep missing them.
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Sorry I can't be much help, but I don't really note unit numbers (except Central Line trains), I was wondering if you could help me though - do you know the unit numbers for the 2 sets of 1972 mk1 on the Bakerloo? I was chatting to a Bakerloo I/O I know the other day about them but can't remember for the life of me now..................

Come now, have none of you esteemed folks seen / drove / noted / heard about either of the above sets in the recent past?? There are very few members her that have a particular interest in the Bakerloo line - let alone all the car numbers. You can be assured however, that if someone has the answers you want, you will get them at some point in the future...........

As for the original question, units 3239 and 3544 are most certainly in the fleet. I'm sure I've seen 3239 in service fairly recently. If they're stopped for any reason then it probably isn't long-term. Don't hold me to it though...

They get more door problems than the Mk2s - I seem to recall something about the doors being hung differently but can't remember exactly what the difference is.

Mk1 doors run along a track with wheels whose bearings collapse or seize,Mk2 doors are top hung, much more reliable. Also, the Mk1 interlocks are more sensitive so to avoid losing pilot light on moving off it's advisable to select rate1.
