Just a thought, but now that Stonebridge Park station has passed to LUL control, will the trains currently detraining at Willesden Junction be extended back to Stonebrisge Park again? I am thinking this because presumably there are now staff based at Stonebridge Park permanently who can detrain there?

I think they would have to build some sort of accomodation on the platform, all I can remember of Stonebridge was the ticket office under the SB platform.

Yes, I remember the platform being very bare last time I was there!

I have it on good authority that the Willesden tip-outs will be extended to Stonebridge from May. However you wouldn't catch me hanging about on that platform tipping out trains with no place of safety, so i'm assuming something is to be built before then. Either that or management will use the new non-union expendable agency staff to do it as the rostered, lisenced staff are still in dispute over lone working and safety issues up there...

Accomodation is being built behind the down platform and presumably some of the fencing is to come down to allow access from there to the platform.

Thanks for the info. Have to say I agree with you regarding hanging about on that platform, especially after dark!

When I was a driver on the Bakerloo (10 years ago) it was 3 PAs and onto the reception road at Stonebridge Park. Even if you were stabling the instruction was to check the train on the reception road and if anyone was over-carried you would have to bring the train back into the platform to get them off.
I remember one of my least-favourite moments, changing ends at Stonebridge Park to find a drunk out cold, face down in his own vomit across a set of double doors. I called the controller on my hand-held radio and remember being asked "is he breathing driver?" um no don't really want to get close enough to find out! Well I poked him with my radio and he stirred so I concluded he was alive. Ran the train out of service to Queen's Park where I was met by 2 DMTs neither of whom were prepared to touch him....so continued OOS to Baker St where I was met by BTP who removed him.
Hmm things have definitely improved (with detrainment staff I mean rather than leaving drivers so vulnerable to dealing with god knows what on their own on the siding/reception road, I remember another driver when I was on the Bakerloo having a knife pulled on him on a train in the north sheds at Queens Park) but there's got to be safe working for the detrainment staff as well.
