please could somebody's who has the capability, confirm the train number and destination of the northbound Northern Line train to High Barnet (I think) via Bank that arrived at Kennington at approx 1704 BST on Friday. The leading car was 51551, and the train number I think is 162 or 152, although the first digit could be 7.
If this breaks any rules (of the forum or of LU) then ignore the request - it isn't that important.

According to TT no 49
There is a 1704 from Kennington [1641 Ex-Morden] arrives at High Barnet [Travels via Bank] 1753. The train number is T13.
T162 is exactly the same as T13, but runs 12 minutes earlier.
It is the Jubilee that has trains in the 7** series [in times of disruption] On the Northern it is 3** and 4**

cheers TB, the train definitely has a 3 digit number, so 162 looks most likely - I'll check how accurate the timestamp on my camera is as it recorded 1604 GMT at the junction between the branches south of the station.

I've checked and the timestamp on my camera is accurate to 1 minute of my computer clock, which is synchronised regularly.
The photograph was recorded as being taken at 16:04 GMT = 17:04 BST, and the number is almost certainly 162. It definately isn't 013, or 007 - the latter of which I photographed arriving into Morden at 14:40 GMT = 15:40 BST, althougth I presume that was the end of its previous journey as the destination is clearly High Barnet via Bank.

Right.
T162 is 1629 Morden-High Barnet [Via Bank] Departs Kennington 1652.
There might have been late running that day? Hence the fact you saw it at 1704.

That does seem the most likely scenario. Assuming that there was about a 12 minute delay, and from your earlier comments there are trains normally scheduled 12 minutes apart (although obviously with others in between), this doesn't seem likely to significantly impact passeger journey times. It thus probably would not be (prominently) conveyed to the travelling public?
Certainly on my journey south from Waterloo, where I had to change at Kennington, there was a "good service to all Northern Line destinations", but between Morden and Kennington I stopped at Clapham Common, and there were significant variations in the interval between trains there.

Could have been gappy for just a few trains? If you were there a while, it would be possible that more trains [than usual] were being turned short of their booked destinations, ie Kennington rather than Morden. The reason being service disruption, which is a rare occurrence on the Northern!
