Hello guys,
Is it me or are the 95ts's looking just abit on the rough side of late. I took two trips on the northern the other week and both cars i got in had graffiti inside. The plastics were looking worn and in my view are in need of a light refurb and deep clean.
What do you guys think??
Cheers James

Definitely. They are looking a bit ragged.
They should get the prat "Enzo" to do it, seeing as he has defaced most of the fleet, along with his scummy cohorts.

I have been using the Northern regularly over the last few weeks. The 95TS gives me the impression that it is in very poor shape. Graffiti stains on the exterior, scratched windows, floor covering bubbling up, worn perch seat edges and some cars feel as if they are seriously worn underneath. One I rode on yesterday was so bad, I considered reporting it. However, it was made worse by the dreadful driving technique. I have found very few drivers on the Northern who get close to proper train handling technique.

Enzoh got caught, so I believe... was given an ASBO, banned from the tube for 5 years and ordered to pay £8000 compensation...
And we are not talking about the Enzo related to Ferrari here...
If we look at the PFI between Alstom and LUL, you'll probably find, buried in the clauses, that there is scope for a 'mid life refresh'; this may have been factored into the PFI lease charges due.

No. ;D
The problem is a lot of the plastic is stained so badly now, only replacement is the option.
As for the seats............... ;D

Don't talk even talk about the seats! In the spaces of the seats that aren't occupied (due to the personal space dividers), there's this thick layer of dust or fluff something. It actually looks organic. Whenever I'm on the 95TS, I always make sure to hold onto my coat when I sit down, because last time in sat in this foreign fluff, I couldn't get the nasty stuff off!

Well though expensive in our terms the inside was cheaply done or and expensive rip off.
I dont have much good to say regarding the quality of the trains this company..we all know who built them, produces. Compare these trains to for example seimen on the main line or the piccadilly refurbs the 95 stock interior design is much inferior.
Looking at the joints and materials used, which aren't up to the job, wear easily and are badly designed.
But being a bit fair if the train is looked after as is the case of the 96 on the jubilee they can look quite good. But hey who looks after the 95's umm....we all know the answer to that one
Cross fingers that the future trains for the Picc will be at the same levlel of quality as the 09 and S stock!
