En route to a meeting today with Network Rail I did a double take at the sight of 2 83TS DM vehicles on top of some 40 ft containers on the old Broad Street viadut near Curtain Rd.
No camera available unfortunatly - but they are semi vandalised with the ubiquitous TOX 06 tag and other scribbles - cab doors open and no obvious way up to them.
i thought it was a modern art sculpute - but someone sid they are planned to be used for offices !
Any one know how they got there - and what their fate is - its on the piece of viaduct that is not likely to be used for the ELLX route section via Shoreditch.

That part of the viaduct is indeed not used for the ELLX. It is part of the old viaduct to Broad Street Station but the ELL will join it a bit further north so this part is unused.
From what I've read they are in use by artists as workshop and are not temporary. I believe they were put there only last autumn.
