Indeed. Given the various ways in the 7-car project could have gone completely and thoroughly cross-eyed, the speed and efficiency that was displayed by towerman and Co. was quite impressive  |

Interesting that this press release quotes the former Jubilee Line capacity as 33,000 passengers per hour per direction for a 24 tph service. This means that each train is carrying 1,375pax. If you look at LU's published train capacities, which only cover 6-car trains for the Jub., you will see a total of 1,073pax/train at 7pax/m 2. With the extra 302 standees, it means they are packed in at 8.6/m 2. We couldn't even do that in Hong Kong. With the extra car, LU suggests another 250 get in. That's another 216 standees in one car. "Move right down inside please!" Moral: Don't believe what you read in press releases.  |

Thanks on behalf of the Jubilee staff.BTW one of our number in the tower got a gold "Thanks to you" award over that,not me I hasten to add.
