was on the jublilee line today going towards stanmore, when we were at dollis hill the train approaches stops, moves forward a bit then stops and we get on , now already thinking it was slightly strange and a one off it happens again.....at every station till we get to wemberly park....so we arrive at wemberly park does the same as before but then we get off and the train moves forward stops yet again then carries on. At first i thought it might be a new driver but after two stations i thought it might have been points......? what do think it could be?

Possibly blocking back, the Underground equivalent of a traffic jam.

New driver, or a fault on the train I would say.
Blocking back, I dont see that at all. Not if the train is virtually berthed, then moves a few inches to stop accurately.

Sounds like the driver stopped short and had to draw forward in order to be within 'the loop' and open the doors.

I experienced this recently on the east end of the Central, but I put that down to ATO misjudgement as it was throwing it down at the time.

That was the one that had problems at Canons Park around 0915 I take it?
Minor delays were soon experienced, there was a good service by 1015.

I'm not sure but I remember reading that they're running tests with regards to the forthcoming ATO.
When I get to work I'll read my traffic circular and find out if this is a possible reason.

ATO trains are only running in engineering hours at the moment.

I was thinking of the software upgrade for the 96ts - but that doesn't start until April.
