does any one know of a 1983 stock [apart from the one in the lt museum]that is in preservation beacause they are so rare these days.

Most of them I believe went to Booths in Rotherham; they are the only company that I am aware of that can deal with aluminum trains...

I passed through South Harrow on Saturday and I could swear I saw some 83ts cars in one of the sidings there.

There is one unit at South Harrow that I am aware of, might be another on the far side of the yard, but the one which is closest to the running tracks looks in a terrible state, windows smashed and green gunge all over it, plus the seats look like they are covered in graffiti/green gunge too.

Went past South Harrow Tuesday,looked like there were still 2x 83TS in there.

I was In South Harrow sidings recently and I took a few photos of one of the trains. Much of the interior seating is surprisingly intact, although the few cars I looked inside are full of rubbish.

Would these not be useful as RAT, Track Recording or tunnel cleaning machines?

ow doesent look to good and i agree with you edb it's kind of a waste cant it be used for the miil hill east branch or a chesham shuttle or is it beyond repair? p.s. thanks for that upinthesky!
