...a new Crunchy Nut Bars advert on the telly now, shot at Charing X Jub.
Nice to know it still looks alright, isn't it. Does anyone know if LU maintain it specifically for filming rights?

As far as I know it can (and is) sometimes used as a reversing point if trains are running late. But I think its main purpose is to be used for filming, as it seems to be more popular now!

It is being used as I write to reverse a number of late-running trains.
It is being used at the weekend for yet more filming.
It is becoming a more regular location for filming. The other week I witnessed a train being sent down there for the purpose of filming on almost every day. Who knows what they were filming - we just get asked to clear the signals to their requirements.
The layout means that trains can be filmed arriving and departing in both directions (using the over-run sidings). Plus the station has the added bonus of looking a bit more modern than say Aldwych, and doesn't need half as many special arrangements to be put in place to use it.

Have to try that more often; lod a box ful of Crunchy Nut bars onto the platform and see how many pax take a dive for the moshpit!!!
