Went to the Jubilee "Time to talk" in May,when someone complained about losing the CSS bonus due to Infraco cock-ups,we were told that the Jubilee was one of only two lines that met it's targets in 2006/7.Since then the Jubilee has had major delays on an almost daily basis.Oops, should've kept quiet about how good we are, looks like the Jubilee is going to lose us the CSS bonus for 2077/8 all on it's own.

I find its bad for a week, then good for ages, then bad again. The last 7 days has seen problems every day, signals failing at Canary last night was the most recent. Today has been good.....so far........ ;D
When I went to the time to talk, the performance managers [or yes men?] congratulated themselves, and their boss, the general manager [who is a yes woman]. They said of the rest of us "We do a good job, but must work harder"

So why does this affect LU staff!

it is not just tubelines maintaing the equipment also metronet are involved after finchley road going north i dont know about this but the bakerloo line used to maintain the equipment from charring cross - finchley road so that would be metronet also but that was before the jubby line was extended when they didnt have there own signalling department

I wait to be corrected by Harsig or CitySig!
The line between Charing Cross and Stanmore is maintained by Tubelines on the ground (this also includes the Met line between Finchley Road and Wembley Park) this is the track and IMR related gubbins. Signal Control equipment (ie computers) are maintained by Metronet.
On top of that, that bit of the line is signalled by Circle & Hammersmith staff and Neasden Depot is signalled by Metropolitan line staff!
LUL can also have an impact on delays through Staff Shortages including sickness and PNRs (breaks), Staff Errors and the like. Also if Neasden Depot is in "Emergency Working" where the NX Panel isn't working as it should do, a number of Met trains are cancelled, when they cancel the Jubilee ones too (to make it fair and even) they have a right old panic and start going on about Tidal Flows (where if they fail to meet 24TPH to Canary Wharf with peak flow, they pay a penalty) and all the other silly phrases that the line uses as well as using up pots of cash.......

That's more or less it JTD, except you have missed some of the emphasis on their tidal flows - it's normally a bit more than a right old panic. They do indeed have lots of other silly phrases which no other line does.
The big question I have is why nobody from our room has been invited to their Time To Talks. Maybe they have forgotten again that we control the old bit. Or maybe they know that once we start moaning talking we may not stop ;D

This 24tph is a pile of..................
Even when the service is rubbish, they say the tidal figures are 23 or 24, which I dont believe. When you phone them for the figures they start thinking about an answer!
"Errr......................errr........24!

Of course none of it makes sense when you realise there is actually nothing staff can do to increase the CSS rating. Turn up on time, be pleasant and professional, don't take loads of time off sick....and we're still not going to get the bonus because signals fail or points fail or we have to run slow because of cracked rails or trains go defective or stations have power cuts or lifts fail or.....

We don't often get informed of the figures (even if it's our hard work that got them there.) There was a short time where they did used to send them over. But we could never get our heads round the fact that they could run 25tph on a timetable that had 24. Was one train from the first hour held back until the second to massage the figures? And what is it with all this "Pure" and "Best" stuff. Sounds like they're talking about beers rather than services. gappe, goodness me, didn't you understand what Mr O'Toole said. We are all a team and are all in this together. That's operational staff and the infracos. You're right of course. We don't stand a chance ;D

They have two figures, timetabled and best, both for the first hour, and again for the second hour, this is for both peaks. Citysig, there is a section on the intranet about it, which explains it all in mind numbing detail.

Sometimes we hear of the "best" figure being higher than the "pure" figure. Now that may sound good to the customers, but it's artificially manipulating the figures to give themselves a pat on the back. How can any decent line run "more than the timetable." You weren't on last Sunday were you Citysig?Neasden weren't very happy with Baker St,wrong sticks being lowered at Wembley at least three times. Oh really. Maybe Neasden should look to themselves to see what information was passed. I was on and the information was appalling, and I had 4 wrong signals on just my bit. It's no good them ringing for a train to reverse at West Hampstead when it is already in the platform with the signal clear. I will refrain from giving my full view here.

The information from Neasden to SMD is some times just as poor.
