When it all went a bit wrong, I was held at Canning Town. Just after the train op had finished explaining why all the trains were being held in platforms and that we wouldn't be going anywhere, the automatic station announcement lady came on over the patform tannoy with the gem "Ladies and Gentlemen.. We have a good service on the Jubilee Line today."
cue laughter from passengers.
I think someone pushed the wrong button.

What happened on thursday Hardcastle?
As regards to the unfortunate pa, its more likely, they didnt delete the good service message when the delays started. I have done it a few times! ;D
Very easy to do, believe me!

Yeah, in fact, I think it was Thursday I was delayed on the Jubilee - a signal failure at London Bridge maybe?
Later in the day, I was entering the grand Canary Wharf station and the dot matrix at the top of the escalators was showing "severe delays on the jubilee line" when the problem was long resolved and a good service was operating.
Then, I went through the ticket barriers, and the Jubilee Line and arrow sign above the escalator leading down the the platforms was lit up, but the escalator was going upwards not downwards.
Modern technology! ;D

On Thursday there were delays because of a signal failure, they were minor when I boarded a train at Westminster just after 3pm.

Very easy thing to miss. You program the good service message into the DVA and forget about it Not saying I've done that a few times

Huh, today at 15.30 was much the same at Stratford... train in Platform 13 had a loud discharge of air from between the 2nd and 3rd cars [barrier end] T/Op was looking between cars on his hands and knees... told him it was probably a burst... He gets up, rolls his eyes at me and saunters off towards the barrier...
Well, I only tried to help! ;D
