So can someone please tell me how a train can terminate at Green Park? Detrain at Green Park then empty to Charing Cross to reverse.

Green Park terminators (southbound only) tip out all passengers then run empty to Charing Cross; reverse and head back out north, picking passengers back up at Green Park.
Err. (after posting) wot Seth said.

Canary reversers are rare compared to NOG or Stratford, but they are not extremely rare, they tend to run late evening if there are severe gaps on the Westbound.

Trains can also be terminated at West Ham, then run direct to the depot via a shunt back.

Thank you for you replies. I dont know why I keep putting extremely rare for everything. So if a train was to terminate at Finchley Road, does that mean it can only go from Stanmore into the SB platform and head back to Stanmore using the SB-NB crossover? Thanks Uzair

Interesting this discussion about how rare certain reversing points are. Green Park (Charing Cross) reversers are indeed not that rare. Something like Queensway on the Central is rare!

Thanks Uzair S/B Jub can either: 1. Reverse in S/B Jub pfm 3 to N/B Jub 2. Reverse in S/B Met pfm 4 to N/B Jub If they ever replace the N/B Met to N/B Jub crossover: 3. Detrain in S/B Met pfm 4 and reverse via Swiss Cottage crossover to N/B Met pfm 1, entrain and then cross to N/B Jub. 4. Detrain in either pfm 3 or 4 and shunt to N/B Met pfm 1, entrain and then cross to N/B Jub. N/B Jub can only detrain on pfm 2 and shunt to the N/B Met pfm 1 (Subject to the crossover mentioned above), S/B Jub pfm 3 or S/B Met pfm 4.

Indeed during the 1970's the then Bloo service was run through to Baker Street Met station to enable forward connections. This was while the step plate junction was connected to the newly constructed Jub line south to Charing Cross.

Oh, if I could only find that Timetable Notice for the three Sundays in 1977 when it happened! <shrug> Oh well, thrill of the chase and all that.

Nope!
It would be extremely rare to reverse a Met S-N at Fin Rd either, as would any inter-running/reversing Jub-Met-Jub using the other lines platforms!

It would be unlikely in this modern world but the original question was where would it be possible at Finchley Road to reverse a Jubilee. What I was also referring to was the Jubilee trains using the Met platforms to reverse. Which the Met would probably refuse. I mentioned the Met crossing the Jubilee as that involves all four roads.

When the Jubilee opened in 1979, I read in Captial Transport's history of the line that there were only West Hampstead reversers in the am peak. Why not the pm peak as well?
