Yea - Saw that too. Any info? I'd assume it's strike related but it's been going since like 10AM this morning...

Yea - Saw that too. Any info? I'd assume it's strike related but it's been going since like 10AM this morning... I was under the impression the strike was only going to affect London Underground and that London Overground were going to run a service as normal. Any news yet?

that will be the case Sean B.. LO are a complete separate company to LU. The drivers/station staff are employed by LOROL, a private company just like SWT or FGW... the only differance is that TfL TELL LOROL what to do, and operate the service under a London Overground brand. London Overground , like the DLR is not linked to London Underground at all, except the same 'company' , TfL, is involved with it, but in a different way they are involved with LUL.

Maybe it's a new way to simply say 'Lack of available stock/drivers'? -shrugs- Not exactly informative though, is it?

The Met now has minor delays due to operational issues, so maybe it is indeed to do with the strike?

It went in at around 2pm so it's nothing to do with the proposed strike. Although the DMTs are in a bit of a flap so who knows what is going on in their pretty little heads.

The Central now has minor delays because of operational issues as well. I think we can now safely say the wind down has now started, don't you?

I think we can now safely say the wind down has now started, don't you? If it is the 'wind down', then why has the Bakerloo had 'operational issues' all day, and why wouldn't TfL say it is to do with the strike?

It probably is to do with the strike. The District now has minor delays due to operational issues. But why has the Bakerloo been suspended a while before the other lines?

When you ring LT travel info line (7222 1234) it says "we are unable to respond to your call by phone at present visit website, due high volume of calls etc etc" ... in other words.. they are on strike too ! I think

The Central line now has severe delays.

Large gaps appearing in some of the lines now, especially the Central (now showing severe delays). Quite a lot of trains have gone into depot / sidings, those trains still out running must have drivers on who are due to finish at the other end of the line.
What is the rule for situations like this - is there a cut off time for the last journey to start, or is it a case of letting the trains run until the driver finishes a turn, then stable the train?

The TfL website is now showing the Bakerloo and Waterloo & City lines as 'suspended due to industrial action'. District line now has severe delays on wimbleware services (minor delays on rest of line) due to industrial action. Met (minor delays) and Central (severe delays) are still being shown as due to operational issues. Other lines are still being shown as 'good service'.

I think Er... perhaps it's because there *is* a high volume of calls. Or do you think they are lying about the reason for not being able to answer your call?

Out of interest, will they try to keep some services running using non RMT drivers?

All lines with delays/suspensions are now being shown as due to industrial action, not 'operational issues'.

The website has just crashed! Probably too many people using the journey planner to plan alternative routes for tomorrow!

During the last strike, nothing ran at all if I recall correctly. Don't think it was just drivers that time though. Looking at the Central line departure boards, it looks like they are trying to run Epping - Ealing, West Ruislip - North Acton and Hainault - Leytonstone at the moment.

I've just looked at the departure boards for the Victoria line on the TfL website, and there seems to be some big gaps between trains, but the TfL website's live travel news is showing 'good service'.

H & C now suspended Edgware Road to Moorgate. Surprised, because it is very difficult to operaitonally run a shuttle at the east end of the H & C due to crew reliefs.

The H&C is still being shown as 'good service' on the TfL website! The other lines showing 'good service' at the moment are Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly. The Jubilee has a few gaps, but not as bad as the Victoria. The Northern and Picc don't seem to be affected too much at the moment (although I only checked the middle of the Northern).
