I'll go with that, Edgware it is.

I would have gone for Gloucester Road looking west

I was gonna go for South Ealing.

I'd say Waterloo and City Line at Waterloo (Bank platform) and the loco is a Class 52 Western.

I'd take a guess at between Queensbury and Kingsbury or Kingsbury and Wembley Park

Marylebone? Not that I've been there for a few years of course!

Willesden Green?

Not sure about this one, but Hounslow Central springs to mind.

I'll go with that, looking eastbound.

Moorgate, Northern Line, Southbound springs to mind.

Canning Town looking North towards Stratford?
|
|
|
Post by pgb on Aug 13, 2007 6:27:07 GMT
I'd say somewhere up the northern end of the Piccadilly Line between Finsbury Park and Bounds Green.

I'll agree with Jubilee and say just outside Stratford with an entry/exit road from Market Depot on the left.

Wherever it is, surely it must have lifts as there is a sign saying something about a "lower machine room"

Hillingdon? That's a modern-ish sort of station from my vague recollection!

Looking at the pipework around it I would suggest it is a kind of tripcock device found on a steam loco (probably a met one looking at the colour!). Thumping the arm of the raised trip would twist the joint round opening a hole in the pipe, which looks like a vacuum pipe to me.
Could be wrong mind!

Oakwood?

Green Park, passageway between the Picc and the Jubilee?
|
|
|
Post by pgb on Jun 19, 2007 8:51:50 GMT
My initial suggestion would be somewhere on the Jubilee line. Possibly Bond Street.

It looks like a mock up to me. On the right hand panelling there is a photo which has writing underneath it. Not going to hazard a guess...yet.

Wouldn't be Kings Cross would it? Somebody did mention that its a Vic line station due to the cladding. Some of the various drillings that have gone on whilst KX has been re-constructed may have caused this?

If it was JLE I'd say it would be Bermondsey if anywhere. Don't think it's London City Airport as that's an island platform isn't it? But not really sure where this is.

Certainly is Waterloo, I think its the passageway from the Northern Line leading to the "new" set of escalators in the old part of Waterloo (if that makes sense).

I've no idea why, but something is telling me Uxbridge.

Hmm, not sure myself, but for some reason a voice in my head (one of many) says Oakwood. Which is probably completely wrong!

And the irritating thing is??? I was thinking about Marble Arch when I was mentioning about the blue signs!

Not casting a doubt to anybody, but what did the blue sinage on either wall used to say? I thought these were normally found in subway passages pointing to exit x or y?

Well its a 1938ts alright, but there a couple of things that give the game away...the carr sheds in the background for one. So I'll let somebody else have a go and I'll ride this one out for a bit.
