*sigh* they could have kept 3016 aswell and restored it properly Yeah shame about 3016 as it was the only unrefurbished car.

That about covers something I was on about in the chat area (Please apply if you aren't subscribed here to the chat bit).... Anyhow, the authorities always manage to find a way around absolutely anything, if they don't get it their way, it'll be a dispute, and it'll sit around for the next million years until someone decides which path to take at the least expense to get the result they wanted in the first place, to then dispute again. Meanwhile on the merry-go-round....

Yeah thats true, after looking at pictures it looked as if all the seats were remaining though There was only a few orginal seat, most came off a bus. think there was enough for about half the carriage with orginal and that includes using tghe very rotten ones... there only 1/3 left so they should have enough seats. May go and take some pictures today if can get free

3016 should have been scrapped a long time ago. It was far too ambitious for the Pump house museum to do a repair, partial rebuild and restoration. It's sad to admit it, but it's true.

Seem the Pump House is open this weekend as part of the Heritage Open Day weekend.
So a good chance to see 3186.
They are looking for people to work on it, from what I can see it get the graffitti off, and give to a good clean.

Did you get any photos of the CP car there? What condition is it in? Did not take any pictures of CP as fence was in the way and a Big MOD lorry. Condition very rough, cab missing a lot, the the bodywork needs a lot of skilled welding ( new skin maybe quick way to go.) From a distance looks OK but close up you can see it would need a great deal of work. Not sure if it on the list of vehicle that need to leave or not. Do hope it gets restored however either at the Pump House or else where as it a nice vehicle even if a little rough. If go again will see if I can get some Pictures

Thanks for the link mate, I must have been looking at the wrong site. What vehicles have moved from the site, and which have been retained by the museum? And secondly, do they require anyone to volunteer working primarily with the 67TS?

And secondly, do they require anyone to volunteer working primarily with the 67TS? From site I know about has been various vintage cars Vintage Lorry 2-3 bus 2 Railways Carriage ( 3-4 more to go) Not sure what staying other the the 67 and a couple of buses. From my understanding they need someone to take on the 67, to clean it up and open to the public. Give them an email, there a link on the website somewhere to find out more.

Having a flick through the website, they seem to imply that interior fixtures and fittings from 3016 are to be recovered to be fitted to 3186 to return it to 'as built' condition. This could prove interesting.

Back on the subject of 3016, quick search in flickr for 'Walthamstow Pump House Museum' brought up this shot of 3016's interior. It seems to be in better condition internally then I initially thought. www.flickr.com/photo.gne?id=3848232372&

Note the fake carboard doors and ceiling panels Shot from the good end, the end they kept. Last I heard they plan to retore the 1/3 section of 3016 and put it next to 3186 to show how they changed... not sure what the website say they change plans all the time

The remaining 1/3 of 3016 is to remain, however the website seems to suggest that 3186 may have an original interior fitted. As for the photo, I've been looking at it on my phone, which is pretty low res.

More logicial to restore the section to as orginal and leave 3186 is as now ( well cleaned up a bit)

I misread what it said. 3016 is to be cleaned up and receive restoration to it's interior, whilst 3186 is to remain how it is, albeit cleaned up a bit.

Just another question, is 3016 the unit involved in the collision at Northumberland Park that destroyed one of the trainwashers?

Ah ok that makes sense, they need to source a number of parts to restore the 3016 section, doors, window ruber seal etc. Not sure where they get them

Interesting to note the mixture of original and replacement armrests in the picture, particularly the crudely repainted Victoria Blue one in the bottom right corner.

Just another question, is 3016 the unit involved in the collision at Northumberland Park that destroyed one of the trainwashers? No. 3016 was damaged when it hit the buffers at the depot when it was being used in a training exercise in about 1991ish. I know the incident you are thinking off, can't recall the units in that off the top of my head.
