A 92 stock ran to Ongar once during trials. Can anyone tell me when this took place? I've heard there is a photo of the 92 stock unit at North Weald somewhere on the net but I can't find it. Anyone point me in the right direction? And don't say Google because I've tried, believe me!

Hi everyone, first post here! (some of you may know me from 'elsewhere'!)
I might be out on Sunday doing the Central line up to Epping as well as the loop, so I can add that to my 'to-do list' for completing all lines. So far completed:
Bakerloo, Piccadilly, Victoria, Waterloo & City, Jubilee, Circle, Hammersmith & City.

1930s, just before WWII, as the Central, Northern and Bakerloo extensions hadn't been completed yet.

If it's possible, turn off the AF lamp on your camera as this can be mistaken for a red signal, there was an incident like this not long ago.

This has just made me remember something. I remember my mother telling me that we used the station on the morning of the day the fire occurred, I was two years old at the time and if I remember correctly she was taking me to the Ear Nose & Throat Hospital for some tests.
There will be a Mass dedicated to the 31 victims at the Blessed Scared Church in Copenhagen Street today.
I hope there will never be a tragedy like this again, my thoughts are with the victims' families.

The loop at North Weald was closed and lifted in 1976, according to the Wiki article.

1938 stock definitely ran to Hatton Cross in service, not sure if the 59 stock made it to Heathrow though.

That's owing to the fact that Simsig cannot cope with the LU numbering format.

I'm pretty sure Ravenscourt Park and Turnham Green are compromise height platforms.

Jimi, I have a copy of the BR Rail Alphabet font if you need it for the NR station signage.

Regarding tunnel textures, wouldn't it be great to design a LUL track and tunnel package for MSTS? I for one would be interested in designing the shapes for it in GMAX.

Jimi, that 73 stock looks excellent, but the cab is even better!
One question about the route though, when released will this be commercial or freeware?

The Cockfosters end of the Picc had most of its gates installed in the late 90s except for Finsbury Park. I know Holloway Road, Caledonian Road and Arsenal were done around 1998.
IIRC Stockwell and Brixton were the first stations outside zone 1 to get barriers due to the high level of fare evasion there.

I'd say they are recycled, as it's only paper that goes through them.

If a station were to be closed for a long period (i.e. for rebuilding / lift replacement etc), is it possible to cut out the station starter to allow trains to pass through at linespeed?

I suppose the 1992 stock with the 91xxx car numbers, would clash with the class 91 locomotives used on the ECML.

In answer to Oracle's question, there was a connection from the northbound fast to the northbound local just north of Finchley Road station (Mets could cross to the local, but Jubilees couldn't cross to the fast) , but has been partially removed now. The northbound fast is completely isolated from the local lines until Wembley Park.

In theory, Mets could run along the southbound local from Wembley Park to Finchley Road (exclusive) and Jubilees could run along the southbound fast from Wembley Park to Finchley Road but would have to be reversed at Finchley Road, and would only be able to call at Neasden and Willesden Green. Met services could call additionally at Neasden and Willesden Green in both directions (or all stations if on the southbound local). Do Met drivers have route knowledge for the southbound local?
