Those planning to take photos should be careful of the private security guards at Upminster.
A couple of weeks back Gavelex (CORRUPTED) and I were up there taking pics of D stock, when two burly security guards came over and threatened us with BTP claiming it is illegal to take photos at train stations. Neither of us were using flash or tripods, nor were we in an area where we shouldn't have been, it's simply private security staff going on a power trip.

RE: Boston Manor - I noted them as 'excellent' as at the time I used them they were spotless, looked like it had just been cleaned.

Some of the ones I've used and condition they were in: Station | Condition | Shoreditch (staff) | Good | Watford | Poor | Moor Park | Poor | Boston Manor | Excellent | Farringdon | Disgusting | Baker Street | Fair | Barons Court | Fair |

The toilets at Moor Park were free when I had to use them once in 2005, but the gents loos on the Met local platforms weren't in very good condition, unflushed, toilet seat unhinged and I suspect that those toilets are as old as the platform buildings themselves.

Any idea when/where it's coming out again?

The only way a District will get to Northfields is by a driver accepting a wrong stick at Acton Town or a deliberate diversion due to an emergency and/or work on the Ealing Broadway branch.

I'm sure I've seen a C stock going along the eastbound local at Stamford Brook before.

I assume that train would have tipped at South Ealing, or would it have ran fast to Northfields to tip, then reverse?

Wouldn't he have to contact the Piccadilly line controller first, as it is off the line?

My idea for a railtour would be the following done in a 67 stock:
Seven Sisters > Finsbury Park > Holloway Road > King's Cross > Barons Court > Hammersmith (reverse) > Tower Hill > Whitechapel (rev) > Liverpool Street > Farringdon > Baker Street > Harrow-on-the-Hill > Chesham > Harrow-on-the-Hill (rev) > Rayners Lane (rev) > Acton Town > Hammersmith > Piccadilly Circus > King's Cross > Finsbury Park > Seven Sisters.

There are plans for the RMT to hold two 72-hour strikes on the 3rd and 10th of next month.
RMT General Secretary Bob Crow has also said that strikes would disrupt the entire network as they could result in a lack of staff to carry out vital track maintenance and safety checks.

There's also the closed British Museum station which you can see just west of Holborn and there's also the Wood Lane / White City complex, where right-hand running is used due to the configuration of the old loop.
And of course there's the famous Hanger Lane Junction just outside Ealing Common, where lucky District line passengers have the opportunity of going on a magical mystery tour along the Piccadilly.

You should also add that Piccadilly line services can use the local lines from Barons Court to Acton Town in both directions during disruption.

The list I created was most of the possible reversing points that could be used in passenger service, not just the rare ones. Like I said in the earlier post, it is incomplete there may be some errors and I will now edit the post to reflect the corrections supplied to me.

Why is it trains have to slow down to 5mph (or stop completely in the case of the Victoria line ATO) through tunnel stations when non-stopping, but can travel at linespeed when passing through surface stations?
