Saw a pair of double enders at Finsbury Park this afternoon, 3078 (I think) and 3175 doing a Seven Sisters, train 245.

I know that District drivers have route knowledge of the fast lines from Barons Court to Acton Town (and Piccadilly drivers sign the locals), but how often does this happen nowadays and when was the last time a C or D stock used the fast line in service?

That's a shame, but at least we will get to do some rare track!

Any idea how many 67s are out today? Looking to do an end-to-end on the Vic in a 67 while I still can.

Will be a rare opportunity for a side-by-side shot if an S does turn up though!
How long is it sitting at Northumberland Park for, I take it pax will have to stay on the train while it is in the depot?

Just out of interest what time of the day do the Northwood removals tend to happen? I've seen the vids up on YouTube with the tractor shunting the cars within the siding and would like to try and get up there myself and have a look if any more moves are taking place.

I thought Liverpool Street only covered as far as Hackney Downs / Bow Junction?

It would be good if a final, final, 67TS tour could run on the Victoria Line too. End-to-end obviously, into NP dt if this is now authorised, and some quick reverses at places like Highbury, Warren St and Euston (for the track-bashers). A lot easier to arrange too I would have thought. To do the whole line including Tottenham Hale, Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow, it would have to happen on or before the 27th May because after the weekend shutdown on 28/29th May the 67s will not be able to operate beyond Seven Sisters except to Northumberland Park.

Neither would I! I've done Highbury and Victoria crossovers, both sides of the Walthamstow scissors, trailing side of the Brixton scissors and also Seven Sisters platform 4 to Tottenham Hale (I can't remember if this was either a Seven Sisters reverser extended at the last minute or a Walthamstow being given a wrong stick which was taken as it was a good few years ago). Yet to do Northumberland Park and also Warren Street crossover.

That could be done if you ran it down to Kings Cross and shunt west of the station, but the train will need a tripcock to use the Finsbury Park crossovers.

I guess it is easier to use tube stock on railtours rather than SSL as there's more scope for routes / stations covered, certain stock like the 38s can go near enough anywhere except the Victoria and Waterloo & City. I thought it was the 96 that had problems interfering with signals on the Met except Finchley Road to Harrow?

You're right about the 38 stock and Sarah top and tailing the 4-TC with a class 20. Whilst they are nice to ride on / ride behind it does get a bit boring just doing Harrow to Amersham via Watford over and over again. Would be nice if we could see other tours cropping up with different stock, for example like the Metroliner tour which took a D stock to various places on the sub surface network like Northfields, Chesham, Stanmore and Baker Street. Could do something like a 73 or a 95 stock round the Met / Circle / District lines *gets coat*

Same - I didn't really have the money to do it but thought sod it I AM going on it because this trip certainly isn't going to be repeated! I grew up with the 67s and I can just about remember one of my first Underground trips which was on an unrefurbished 67 stock from Highbury to Kings Cross when I was about 2 or 3.

I just had something daft happen to me today too regarding Oyster - I had £1.80 on my card, and it was rejected for 'not enough money' on a 271 bus despite the fare being £1.30 :/

Tottenham Hale, Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow Central have unclad roofs and trough lighting.

I wonder how much a four car double-ended 67 in full working order would cost to buy and insure?

Has anyone got a copy of the full timings for the trip yet? All I have is Seven Sisters departure time (10:13) and return arrival time (16:00).

Went down to LTM yesterday and it seems they will be sending out tickets in the post now? I'm sure it said on the website/confirmation email that tickets needed to be collected from the LTM itself.

How many non-refurb 72s are still parked up around the network except for the Aldwych unit?

As you may know, non-refurb DM 3016 and refurbished DM 3052 have made it in to preservation, but has anyone got any idea whether a full four car unit will be preserved (working or otherwise) by LTM or an external preservation group?
