Far better than what we used to have on the GOBLIN in Silverlink days, trains running half an hour late upwards were shown as 'on time' on the screens! ;D

On the subject of Highbury & Islington, that link to the NLL from the ELL on platform 2 seems a bit pointless as the third rail ends just short of the end of the platform, then there is a non-electrified gap of at least a full car length before the OHLE starts after the platform ramp (behind signal EL318). As I understand it class 378s can only change from AC to DC or vice versa when stationary.

It runs almost directly underneath Manor House and also runs underneath Drayton Park as well. On the Victoria line going northbound after Highbury & Islington, the crossover cavern is about half way between Highbury and Drayton Park. Take a look at cartometro's map.

I personally think that even if they don't reopen the station or install sidings, they should at least reinstate the crossover, and with some minor resignalling it would mean that trains could reverse at either Kings Cross St Pancras or Caledonian Road.

It's coming along really well Antje! Will you be doing an unrefurbished model as well? I gave up on my MSTS one for a bit but might restart it as a Railworks model, but this time refurbished rather than original.

On the subject of electrification, as pointed out before it'd become 3rd rail bottom contact, like the DLR. It's a nice idea but it introduces yet another standard onto NR metals, and surely one of the long term aims of railway infrastructure should be to standardise as much as possible, even if it does mean allowing new piece of 3rd rail top contact. Remember that 4th rail is still used on Network Rail metals, Kilburn High Road to Harrow & Wealdstone reversing siding springs to mind as well as Gunnersbury Junction to Richmond.

They would have to turn round at the roundabout anyway, even if they could physically make the turn as there is no right turn in to Campbell Road from Southampton Road (and respectively no left turn from Campbell Road in to Southampton Road).

Saw 3058/4058/4158 at Eastleigh yesterday (all uncoupled), they are clearly visible from Campbell Road as you go round the bend after crossing the bridge (down side of the main line). 3158 was on the adjacent line and also of note former London Overground unit 508301 still in brandless Silverlink livery was behind the tube cars. Couldn't see the A stock anywhere though.
I have got pics, but for obvious reasons will not post them yet.

Any idea if the 67 at Eastleigh along with the A60 are visible from either the station or known vantage points?

A train and a camper van have collided at a level crossing on the outskirts of Littleport. Service involved was 2H94 16:15 Cambridge to Downham Market operated by First Capital Connect. Click HERE for the news story.

I will be out for this, going to ride it to Brixton, get in front of it if I can and try and get some shots of it at either Pimlico, Oxford Circ or Highbury with the relatively fast station entries.
Anyone from here driving the last one?

Haven't even seen one today, even let a few 09s go to see if one would turn up on a Sisters going northbound but nothing, all 09s.

A Jubilee could be routed to the fast from platform 4 and regain the local road just prior to Neasden, but I have no idea if Jubilee drivers still sign this route.
The only way a Met could run on the local now (at least in theory) is that a southbound could cross over to the local at Neasden, reverse at Finchley Road and then cross over again just after Neasden.

With regard to composite services, Hammersmith & City trains now and again get diverted to Aldgate during engineering works.

Your best bet is to click here if you want to say thanks. If you can give a date/time and where it happened it would help them to identify the driver concerned.

Going anti-clockwise, you need to go straight on at Baker Street, left at Praed Street Junction (between Edgware Road and Paddington) and left again at High Street Kensington and further up at Aldgate, don't take the centre platform at Mansion House as it is a bay platform.

I've just come back from Walthamstow, had to go on last Brixton as I needed to go to Highbury.

Had a result today, thought I would detour to Brixton on the way home, got on at Vauxhall and first southbound (already in the platform as I came down the escalator) was 3060/3061, stayed on it at Brixton and went all the way to Walthamstow, as it pulls in at Walthamstow, 3049/3005 was in the other platform so rode that back to Highbury!

I am guessing that in a situation like that the train would be checked and detrained if neccessary when it arrives back at the platform! ;D
